Ruth is a London-based writer originally from the Birmingham suburbs, who works in the heritage sector by day and writes poetry by night/ bus journey/ toilet break. She researches and writes around landscape, built environment, psychogeography and belonging.

In Summer 2020, she was shortlisted for the Write Out Loud ‘Beyond the Storm’ competition and had two poems published in their anthology. She was shortlisted for the Poetry Business New Poet’s Prize in 2021 and received honourable mentions in the Magdalena Young Poet’s Prize and Teignmouth Poetry Competition. Her work has also been published by Wild Court and Ink, Sweat and Tears.
